Dear Eduardo

Dear Eduardo is a short film written by Ruth Tapp, inspired by the wrong mail.

Have you ever received mail for someone you don't know?

'On a suburban street a battle of wills unfolds between a man, a postwoman and an elderly lady. The man must make a stand to reclaim his letterbox. Dear Eduardo is a dark comedy-drama about a man on the edge and a LOT of letters... '

30 second trailer for Dear Eduardo.

Dear Eduardo was completed at the end of 2018 and was first screened in front of an invited audience at the BFI, Stephen Street. It is now being entered into film festivals across the world. Future screening dates will be announced on this page.

The film was funded through a crowdfunding campaign with additional financial support from The Sunday For Sammy Trust. We were also supported by the London Film Academy, who generously gave us use of their film studio in West London for three days.

Alongside the crowdfunding campaign we also ran a Mail Art project asking people to send us 'letters for Eduardo' to use as props. We received a staggering 489 envelopes from 35 countries! Every single letter was used in the film.  Take a look at these miniature works of art on our Letter Blog.
